Using with Cherry Studio - MyTokenGate

Cherry Studio  is a cross-platform desktop AI client that supports any OpenAI-compatible service. By adding a custom provider, you can use MyTokenGate’s models from a graphical interface.

Install Cherry Studio

Download the installer for Windows, macOS, or Linux from the Cherry Studio website  and install it.

Configure MyTokenGate

  1. Open Cherry Studio and go to Settings → Model Providers
  2. Click add provider and choose type OpenAI
  3. Fill in:
  4. Add the model names you want under this provider (see “Model Selection” below)
  5. Save, then click “Check” to verify connectivity

If the endpoint errors after entering https://gateway.mytokengate.com/v1, try dropping the trailing /v1 (some versions append the path automatically).

Model Selection

Add model IDs manually in the provider’s model list:

  • claude-sonnet-5 - Balanced default
  • gpt-5.4 - General workhorse
  • gemini-3.1-pro-preview - Complex multimodal

Usage Tips

  • Create multiple assistants for different scenarios, each bound to a different model
  • Switch models within a conversation to compare results
  • Monitor usage and spend in the MyTokenGate Console
