How to use SillyTavern with MyTokenGate APIs - MyTokenGate

Step 1: Install SillyTavern

SillyTavern is now available for Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and Docker. For more detailed information, please visit https://docs.sillytavern.app/installation/

Step 2: Configure MyTokenGate API

After installation completes, SillyTavern will pop up in your browser. Now, you’re ready to configure the MyTokenGate API connection:

  1. Click the 🔌API Connections button in the top bar.
  2. In API, select Chat Completion.
  3. Under Chat Completion Source, select MyTokenGate.
  4. Get your API key from MyTokenGate Dashboard  and paste it into MyTokenGate API Key field.
  5. Click the Connect button. Confirm it says Valid.
  6. Select your preferred model from the MyTokenGate Model dropdown menu. You can always change them later.
  7. Click Test Message to verify your configuration. When the **API connection successful! ** notification appears, you’re all set!

Using OpenAI Compatible Configuration

If SillyTavern doesn’t have a built-in MyTokenGate option, use OpenAI Compatible:

  1. In Chat Completion Source, select OpenAI Compatible
  2. API URL: https://gateway.mytokengate.com/v1
  3. API Key: Get it from MyTokenGate Dashboard 
  4. Manually enter the model name (e.g., claude-opus-4-7, gpt-5.5)
